Leave those cell phones at home. The Spa At Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas is holding a Digital Detox Weekend Retreat from Sept. 9-11, 2016.
The Digital Detox Weekend Retreat begins with a personal consultation with a spa therapist to understand the guest’s current habits with their mobile devices. Each guest will then be able to select a complete digital detox regimen which includes no access to their personal devices for the duration of the retreat or partial digital detox which will include agreed upon times when phones will be returned to the participant. Mobile devices will not be permitted during group activities.
The expectation for instant communication and connection is causing additional stress and chatter in our lives.
“In today’s fast paced and technology charged times, people need to find time away from devices, communication and the stress that comes with the constant digital connections with the world,” said Jennifer Lynn, senior spa director at The Spa At Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas. “The expectation for instant communication and connection is causing additional stress and chatter in our lives.”.
On Sept. 10-11, guests are invited to take part in the following: yoga classes, nutrition talks, healthy smoothie demonstrations, guided meditation classes, group sharing circles and more. Guests will also have free time during the retreat to read, journal, color, swim, write letters to loved ones, sit in silence or enjoy a calming spa treatment.
Rates for the Digital Detox Weekend Retreat start at $699 per person and is based on a two-night stay in a Strip View Room. Additional guests for the weekend retreat are priced at $199 per person. Las Vegas residents are invited to participate in the Digital Detox Weekend Retreat for $299 per person which includes the weekend of activities, smoothie breaks and light meals.
