It’s a good time to be the in medispa business: A study conducted by BO Herald found that demand for medical spa treatments is “increasing at an excellent rate,” with people choosing medical spa treatments in open environments as opposed to traditional beauty spas.
The study was conducted throughout regions including the U.S., Europe and the Asia-Pacific. Among its findings are the following.
- People seek treatments to both look and feel good.
- Companies that have seen “excellent growth” over the last few years include Medspa, Biovital Medspa, Canyon Ranch, Hyatt Corporation and Westchase Medspa, with more growth forecasted.
- A “high percentage” of consumers in the U.S. are seeking body shaping, hair removal, facial treatments, tattoo removal and treatments for scars and striae (stretch marks).
