Autumn is here, and as temperatures and humidity levels drop, and we turn on our heaters more and more, we'll be feeling that exacerbated dryness in our skin. Clients will be looking to cozy up in spas to get the nourishment and hydration their skin needs to get them started in bearing through the cooler months.

Here are four menu additions popping up in SoCal for the season.

1. Spa Estancia's Old-Fashioned Indulgence (Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa)

A full-body treatment that layers a bourbon sugar scrub, warming spiced body wrap and tension-melting massage, paired with a Citrus Bourbon Fizz spaktail (read: spa cocktail), made with spiced orange, non-alcoholic bourbon and vanilla.

The warm, malty combination of bourbon and spice is the perfect way to make clients smell fall, while the inclusion of a spaktail makes the experience feel more hosted, completing the perfect autumnal experience.

2. Spa L'Auberge's Harvest Glow Salt Stone Ritual (L'Auberge Del Mar)

Dry brushing to gently exfoliate and awaken circulation, followed by a Swedish-style massage enhanced by the soothing warmth of Himalayan salt stones and vanilla-spice aromatherapy. Each guest receives a heart-shaped charged salt stone as a keepsake.

Nothing says "cozy holiday season" like being wrapped in a plush blanket and getting a little present! Note the reappearance of sweet vanilla and spice, the mellow notes of the former bringing us closer to the cooler months, balanced by the crispness of spice, which keeps it from scooting too close to winter territory.

3. Spa Brezza's Pure Fiji Paradise Sugar Scrub (San Diego Mission Bay Resort)

Full-body exfoliation using raw sugarcane crystals, infused with cold-pressed virgin coconut oil and mango.

This nourishing, moisturizing and brightening treatment is perfect for soothing skin that's dry, tight and dull from the cooling weather and onslaught of indoor heating.

4. SpaTerre's Coconut Milk & Honey Sugar Glow

Raw cane sugar and exotic seed oils exfoliate, nourish and hydrate the skin. The sugar is massaged into the skin with coconut milk.

This treatment eliminates dullness and improves elasticity, replenishing moisture, making it the perfect cure for the autumn skin blues.
