[RICHMOND, Va.]—Spavia Day Spa, the luxury day spa specializing in personalized self-care, is expanding its footprint in Virginia with a new franchise agreement in Richmond.

Personalized self care is in strong demand currently, as wellness is a major priority for the modern consumer, and a demand for science-backed results drive buying behaviors that empower consumers to take their care into their own hands.

Elevated, Affordable Self Care Spreads to Southeast

Expected to open in the second half of 2026, the new spa will deliver Spavia’s signature resort-inspired wellness experience to one of the state’s fastest-growing suburban markets. The new location marks Spavia’s second in Virginia, introducing the brand’s elevated yet affordable approach to relaxation and result-driven care to the Richmond area, a thriving city known for its shopping, dining and family-friendly amenities.

The Richmond location will be owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Rajiv and Anjali Radia, first-time franchise owners who bring both business acumen and a shared passion for wellness.

“We wanted to invest in a brand that truly reflects our values, where self-care feels less like a luxury and more like a lifestyle,” says Anjali Radia. “Spavia stood out because it makes wellness accessible without compromising quality and we’re planning to open more locations in the region over the next few years. The brand’s balance of elevated service and community care is what drew us in, and we’re thrilled to bring that experience to Richmond.”

The new spa will offer Spavia’s full menu of spa treatments, including result-driven facials, therapeutic massages, revitalizing body treatments and waxing.

“Every new franchise partner strengthens the foundation of what we’re building—a nationwide community of spas that make wellness part of everyday life,” explains Marty Langenderfer, CEO and co-founder of Spavia. “Rajiv and Anjali exemplify the caliber of entrepreneurs drawn to Spavia’s model and their decision to join our family reinforces the growing demand for accessible luxury and the strength of our franchise opportunity.”

As Spavia continues its national expansion, the brand is on track to reach 200 locations over the next decade.
