[LEXINGTON, Ky.] Jan. 8, 2026—The International SPA Association (ISPA) Foundation, the 501(c)(3) arm of ISPA established in 1999, has officially been renamed the ISPA Research Foundation. The name change underscores the Foundation’s role in advancing credible, data-driven insights that support and strengthen the U.S. spa industry.

“For more than 25 years, the ISPA Foundation has helped tell the spa industry’s story through credible research,” said Lynne McNees, ISPA president. “The name change reinforces the value of trusted data that supports sound decision-making across our spa community.”

The announcement coincides with the launch of the 2026 ISPA U.S. Spa Industry Study survey, which entered the field this week.

Funds raised by the ISPA Research Foundation primarily support industry and consumer research, including the studies housed in the ISPA Research Library, which is accessible to all ISPA members and consistently ranks as the most valued member benefit.

In support of these efforts, the ISPA Research Foundation Auction is currently open for donations and will take place in conjunction with the 2026 ISPA Conference, March 31–April 2.
