The neck is a delicate area and can show signs of aging from wrinkles to sagging skin. Now, tech neck is another concern to add to list.

Bustle spoke with dermatologists who recommend starting a skin care routine for the neck area to help prevent these issues.

Since the skin on the neck is a delicate, it might not be the best idea to just bring your face routine down to the neck. Products like salicylic acid and other exfoliates may cause irritation, according to Corey L. Hartman, M.D., board-certified dermatologist and founder of Skin Wellness Dermatology.

Luckily, there are products out there that are designed specifically for the neck area, such as creams and serums.  Although, any product with peptides, ceramides or antioxidants can do the trick.

Hartman explains why the neck is so delicate and deserves a little more attention:

"It's thinner [and] it doesn't contain the same oil composition as the face does, so it's more prone to irritation. It's also more prone to wrinkles and dryness since it doesn't have that same oil protection."
