Building your business and getting new clients—that’s what it’s all about right? You’ve undoubtedly experienced the difficult, but exhilarating task of drawing in new customers. According to Forbes, “It takes seven seconds to make a first impression. First impressions are more heavily influenced by nonverbal cues than verbal cues. In fact, studies have found that nonverbal cues have over four times the impact on the impression you make than anything you say.”1

Now, are you ready for this? According to Business Insider, career experts say it takes just three seconds for someone to determine whether they like you and want to do business with you. 2

When I say business, it doesn’t matter if you are the President of the United States, the President of the boardroom or the President of the Professional Beauty Association; you get three seconds. And here’s the real “newsflash,” in the professional beauty industry, “Your image is your business!” So, what impression are you making at first glance?
