VISTA, Calif. -- Intentional Wellness Brands (IWB), which consists of industry-leading wellness brands, announced the completion of a $1 million solar energy installation at its Vista, Calif. headquarters. The aim of the installation, along with landmark employee initiatives and charitable partnerships, is to reflect the company's belief that wellness is more than a product category, it is a way of operating.
Intentional Wellness Brands consists of Earthlite, Living Earth Crafts, Continuum Pedicure Spas, and TARA Spa Therapy. IWB is committed to a vision of wholistic wellness that encompasses environmental responsibility human flourishing, and global community. IWB understands that true wellness includes body, mind, soul, nutrition, attitude, finances, communities, the planet and beyond.
"Every one of our brands has always stood for something larger than the products we make. Today, we’re proud to share our increased investment in wholistic Global Wellness as we follow our passion of “Empowering those who foster wellness through harmony between self, society, and nature.” said IWB CEO Rod Derifield.
The $1 million investment in clean, renewable energy underscores the company's long-term commitment to environmental stewardship. It reduces the facility's total operational emissions by 90%, positioning IWB and its family of brands to become a net positive carbon contributor. It also produces clean energy to power manufacturing, fulfillment, and office operations and demonstrates that wellness manufacturing can and should be environmentally responsible.
IWB has introduced several meaningful initiatives for its team members. The company sponsored at-home, private biometric annual screenings for all employees. It has also designed designated spaces to help employees decompress, recharge, and be fully present.
“We make products that help the world relax, recover, and restore. It would be hollow to offer that to our customers without offering it to our own people first,” said IWB CIO Jim Chenevey.
IWB has been partnering with Eye Corps and donating portable tables used for treatments to bring care and restore vision in rural sub Saharan Africa since 2017. There are also ongoing charitable partnerships and product donations that align with each brand's mission to advance wellness access globally.
