Noel Asmar Uniforms introduced a new line of eco-friendly fabric—EcoSignature—that breaks down safely at the end of its use without compromising fabric integrity. It is made from degradable polyester that has been third-party tested and certified environmentally compatible.

EcoSignature fabric will replace the brand’s current signature fabric. The uniform styles will be updated with the EcoSignature fabric gradually over time. The company plans to replace spandex with biodegradable spandex once it’s available.

Noel Asmar, CEO and founder of Noel Asmar Uniforms, said, “Transitioning to a fabric that would safely degrade at the end of life was the biggest opportunity for impact. We had to make it as easy as possible for our customers without compromising on quality, longevity of the garments, color or increasing costs. This is our 20-year anniversary and we’re committed as a business and a brand to making our next 20 years even more sustainable.”

Asmar continued, “By creating uniforms out of the new EcoSignature fabric, we know that even if they end up in landfills, the uniforms will safely break down. Our clients and customers want to know they are doing business with companies that care. They spend their days caring for others. It’s our job to care for them, while all coming together and doing our part to care for the planet.”
