A Face & Body Attendee’s Guide to San Jose


So you bought your expo hall pass, scheduled your ride and now are planning your itinerary for Face & Body Northern California spa expo and conference. Then, you start to think about all the trip details. Where am I going to eat? What is near the convention center? Most importantly, what can I do to make the most of my visit in San Jose, California?

If you are a native Californian or coming from afar, San Jose offers plenty of things for you to do during your stay after spending time at Face & Body. From shopping to dining options to cultural opportunities, San Jose is a perfect place to take in a bit of everything.

Shop 'Til You Drop  

So you spent the whole day attending classes, networking with industry experts and buying products to make your clients' skin perfect...now you've caught the shopping bug.

Just a short Uber drive away, the Santana Row is an outdoor shopping center and mall that caters to fashionistas of all kind. Some stores include:

  • Anthropologie. Fashion inspired by antique markets and flea markets. Perfect for the bohemian-chic fan.  
  • Smith Adler Fine Clothing. From hand-crafted jewelry to sportswear, this shop caters to a wide range of fashion fans.
  • Lululemon. Lululemon will help you keep your 2017 health goals and keep you stylish doing it.

Taking in Local Culture

San Jose Art Museum

Or maybe, you want to take in some local culture. Within a couple blocks of the convention center, there is an array of museums, attractions and activities.

For the museum goer, there is the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, San Jose Museum of Art and the San Jose Center for Performing Arts. If you are traveling with kids, there is also the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose and the Happy Hollow Park & Zoo. 

Several blocks from the convention center is the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden, which houses more than 3,500 plantings of flowers from over 150 varieties. If you are looking for another scenic view, the Willow Glen neighborhood is famous for tree-lined steets, appealing architecture and small town vibe.  

Quick Bites and Fine Dining

San Jose offers a wide range of culinary experiences. If you are looking for a nice sit-down experience, check out these restaurants within walking distance from the venue:

  • The Grill on the Alley: A premium steakhouse that offers brunch, lunch and dinner options.  
  • Nemea Greek Taverna: A Greek tavern that offers classic and modern dishes.
  • Mosaic: An American and Asian fusion restaurant with a modern design.
  • McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks: A range of signature fish specials and fresh Hawaiian seafood.

Or maybe you just looking for a quick bite to eat. Might we recommend the famous In-N Out Burger, which is just a couple blocks north of the convention center.
