Artificial Intelligence is being used in the beauty industry to assess skin types, develop skincare routines and to create virtual try-ons for products. A platform that was designed to fill the engagement and information gap between healthcare providers and patients can also be used for estheticians.

Looped is an AI-powered patient engagement and education platform that helps clinics to attract, educate, convert, finance and retain patients throughout their entire care journey. Looped automates much of the patient journey, including treatment guidance, follow-up communication, payments, and long-term retention. The aim of Looped it to reduce administrative workload while improving patient engagement. The goal of the app is to provide better patient outcomes.

In the same way estheticians would use client management systems to schedule appointments and send appointment reminders, they can use Looped. They can also engage with their clients through curated content and provide them with pre- and post-treatment information.

“The digital era has given us a lot of opportunity to communicate with patients a lot more frequently, a lot more easily, a lot more clearly … When it comes to skincare, a lot of the information can be overwhelming for people,” says Sam Patel CEO of Culture and Looped.“Certainly skincare and the different treatments and services estheticians perform require a lot of knowledge, so it is a beautiful tool for them to use.”

Patel adds that Looped allows providers to have more intimate relationships with their clients because they are able to speak to their needs specifically, clearly and more digitally. With Looped, patients learn from verified, personalized, video-based educational content that feels like social media. It allows a practice to communicate with patients through engaging content rather than words on a piece of paper. The videos can be a useful tool to combat some of the misinformation about skincare that exists on the internet.

“The Looped platform allows for practices to achieve a nice communication stream in a way that is modern via an app on a phone, whether it is android or an iPhone, and this app allows for information to be directly communicated,” Patel says.

The Lopped platform is built for modification and customization for any kind of practice or provider. It can be custom curated for estheticians as a branded mobile app, built for and around them based on their needs. Looped also enables providers to create an e-commerce store for services. It allows clients to receive rewards for their visits, which Patel says is a great way for estheticians to grow and cultivate a consistent, return client base.
