Alison Bladh, an award winning women's health and menopause expert, has been announced as a finalist for the Business Book Awards for her book, "Have a Magnificent Menopause: A straightforward Guide to Looking Good and Feeling Great." Bladh's book is one of seven finalists in the Wellness & Wellbeing category.
“I am delighted to have been listed as a finalist in the Business Book Awards. “Have a Magnificent Menopause: A Straightforward Guide to Looking Good and Feeling Great” will resonate with any woman who has ever stood in front of the mirror wondering where she went and is now ready to find her again,” she said.
The Business Book Awards takes place annually and recognizes authors who have written books that highlight their industry knowledge and experience in their field. This year's event is set for Sept. 16.
In the book, Bladh, offers women over 40 a guide to thriving through perimenopause, menopause and beyond with or without Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). The book shares practical guides, check lists and the stories of real women, along with research and scientific studies.
The book tackles common challenges, everything from fatigue, brain fog and weight gain to confidence, skincare and mindset, helping women feel vibrant and in control at every stage of life. The tone is supportive and straight talking, cutting through confusing advice and addresses “menowashing” to deliver clear, evidence based solutions that work. The book has been praised for being a breath of fresh air in the menopause space and being “like having a wise best friend, nutritionist and beauty therapist rolled into one.”
Alison has also recently launched a new concept into the beauty industry – the Meno Massage Method – enabling beauty therapists to deliver support for their midlife clients through becoming a certified Meno Massage Method™ practitioner.
With the Meno Massage Method and the book, "Have a Magnificent Menopause," Bladh is making it her mission to help women over 40 take back control of their bodies, while also rediscovering their energy and feeling confident and empowered in their own skin again. Menopause research became a passion of hers after watching her mother suffer in silence when the subject of menopause was looked at as taboo.
Bladh has more than 35 years of experience, which has been shaped by personal and professional experience in the menopause space. Alison has combined nutritional therapy, lifestyle strategies and beauty industry expertise to help women feel more confident, energized and in control of their own health.
