The Ogle School Gears Up for a New Class

Ogle School X June Start
The Ogle School

The Ogle School is gearing up for a new class start on June 15, and with it, an opportunity to apply for a scholarship.

The Ogle School was founded by Shelton Ogle 50 years ago. Since its founding, the company has grown from four campuses around the Dallas-Fort Worth area to ten campuses, throughout Texas and in Atlanta.

John Blair, who has been the CEO of the Ogle School for 18 years, said it has strong graduation, licensure and placement rates. Currently, the Ogle School serves about 3,000 students.

Blair said what differentiates the Ogle School from other schools is that it is focused on exceptional hands-on training, career readiness and student support. That support includes scholarships, which are offered year-round. There are a limited number of half and full scholarships, which range from $500 to $10,000. It offers more than $100,000 annually.

“Education changes lives and scholarships help remove financial barriers for committed students pursuing careers in the beauty industry,” Blair said.

There are nine class starts a year, with a new class starting every six weeks. Blair said that students are required to write an essay to apply for the scholarship. In that essay they are looking for the students’ story, their passion for the beauty industry, their goals and their commitment to building their career.

“It’s always fun to hear about their story, the obstacles they’ve overcome or are trying to overcome to try and change their lives for themselves and their families,” he said.
