This month we asked industry pros for their input on Brazilian wax recommendations and advancements. We have gathered expert advice from industry professionals on Brazilian waxing, and we are bringing these tips to you.
1. Prep Your First Time Waxers
For first-time waxing clients, or for those who have had waxes but have not seen you before, explain the ins and outs of the hair growth cycle to them before their service. Filling them in on the importance of adhering to the body’s hair cycles and understanding how hair removal is performed amidst this will guarantee they return for a minimum of two more visits.
When waxing a client for the first time, target each hair cycle that lasts for three months, and let clients know that after three consistent visits, their hair will become finer and regrowth will slow down. Educating your clients as to what to expect from their wax, their results, and hair regrowth gives them confidence in you and your professionalism and will keep them coming back. It will also educate them on their own cycles and fill any awkward silences!

2. Have Confidence in Yourself
Quick, swift and confident pulls when removing the wax will help to make the waxing service more comfortable for your client. If you show hesitation in the wax room you may cause your client to feel unsure or fearful. Your client may already be nervous, which is why it is important to be aware of your energy and work to reassure them rather then raise their anxiety level. Firmly support the skin in the opposite direction to which you intend to pull. This will help reduce any possible discomfort and make your client feel confident in your waxing ability.
