The Standard, East Village hotel in New York is serving up skin detox treatments in drip form and more at its spa pop-up this April.
Starting on Saturdays from April 9 through the end of the month, visitors to The Future Spa: Drip, Chill and Shine pop-up can sign up for CryoSphere Cryotherapy; NutriDrip, which specializes in IV therapy; and HigherDOSE, which offers a full-body detox using infrared heat.
According to an AM New York report, visitors can choose one, two or all three of the following treatments (for $149 total):
According to the company’s website, IV vitamin infusions help replenish and re-energize clients and detoxify against heavy metals and free radicals.* The service is typically offered by doctors and medical practitioners in-home and at its infusion centers. Drips can be as short as 10 minutes or a full cleanse can last up to 60 minutes. According to AM New York, NutriDrip's B12 and glutathione booster shots will also be available for free at the pop-up.
During its cyro facial, guests will experience a blast of liquid nitrogen as cold as 160 degrees Celsius for five minutes, according to AM New York. The cold therapy treatment is said to help with inflammation and boost endorphins.
HigherDOSE's body wrap detox, according to the company’s website, uses infrared wavelength therapy as an anti-aging and skin purification treatment as well as offer pain relief, detoxification and relaxation. AM New York said guests at the pop up can experience a 30- to 35-minute detox ($45), which is preceded by a shot of a cayenne-based juice and followed by coconut oil applied to the skin.
