Wellness Veteran Jim Root Returns to Rancho La Puerta after 27 Years

Jim Root announced his return to Rancho La Puerta after 27 years, as the wellness destination's senior advisor, according to an article on NJ News Update. 

The spa and wellness industry veteran is returning to the California facility where his career began. Starting in 1989, Root worked for six years as a health and wellness worker at the destination. 

He has more than 40 years of professional experience in programing, developing and managing wellness at properties across the globe, and has extensive expertise in destination spas and luxury resorts.

Root has an expansive portfolio of experience that includes: CEO and president of Glen Ivy Hot Springs, as well as positions at Meadowood Napa Valley, Miraval Arizona, Sea Island Resorts, Copper Mountain Resort Association, Montana San Miguel Retreat Spa and Green Valley Health Resort.

At those properties, Root's responsibilities spanned from project management, operations, managerial duties and more. In his most recent role, he served as the group director of well-being for the Enchantment Group, and as general manager of U.S. destination spa, Mii amo. There, he was in charge of spa programming, property operations and the creation of personalized spa experiences for each spa guest.
