[MINNEAPOLIS, MN.]—FACE FOUNDRIÉ, the nation’s fast-growing, woman-owned facial bar has signed a three-unit development deal that will bring the brand to Seattle for the first time.

As skin care and wellness become more enmeshed, taking more effort into investing in skin health is seen less as a luxury and more as one of a series of choices the consumer can make about living an all-around healthier life, keeping the expansion of spas and facial bars, like FACE FOUNDRIÉ, lucrative.

Meet the team

The deal is led by sisters Amani Gomez and Mona Askalani, as well as their husbands, Alex Gomez and Faisal Khan, who will serve as the brand’s area developers for the region. The group is specifically targeting Bellevue, Redmond and Issaquah, with their first location anticipated to open in fall 2026.

Amani Gomez is a marketing leader with an MBA and deep retail expertise through roles at General Mills, Best Buy and Kimberly-Clark, while Alex Gomez is an international sales executive with a long career in the global spa equipment industry, where he witnessed firsthand the explosive growth of beauty and wellness concepts.

Askalani is a 25-year veteran of advertising, marketing and franchising, with a focus in the beauty, CPG and hospitality industries, and Khan is a technology consultant and program manager who has overseen major software implementations, including consulting work for Regis.

With the Gomez's backgrounds as multi-unit franchisees, their addition to the system also reflects a broader trend the brand is seeing: strong interest from established multi-unit operators who view FACE FOUNDRIÉ as an attractive, scalable addition to their portfolios.

“Each business Alex and I invest in is rooted in caring for people,” says Amani. “Healthy food, trusted childcare and now accessible skin care all serve that purpose. Coupled with Mona and Faisal’s backgrounds in the spa industry, FACE FOUNDRIÉ is exactly the right concept for us to introduce to Seattle.”

The vision behind the expansion

After 15 years in the region, the Gomezes have watched the city evolve as major employers like Microsoft and Google draw young professionals with both disposable income and an interest in self-care, as well as busy parents looking for efficient, trustworthy wellness options.

“Growing up as immigrants and children of immigrants, affordability and value have always mattered to us,” adds Askalani. “FACE FOUNDRIÉ brings both to an industry that often feels inaccessible. Our estheticians don’t just perform treatments; they invest in our clients, following each person’s journey, celebrating progress, and helping to restore confidence.”

Each FACE FOUNDRIÉ location is thoughtfully designed with top-of-the-line esthetic beds, curated playlists and custom elements tailored to the community.

“We’re thrilled to welcome this powerhouse family to the FACE FOUNDRIÉ system,” comments Michele Henry, founder and CEO of FACE FOUNDRIÉ. “Amani, Alex, Mona and Faisal bring exceptional leadership, a shared passion for community and deep operational experience in the spa industry. Their commitment to our mission, coupled with their backgrounds, makes them the perfect partners to introduce FACE FOUNDRIÉ to Seattle.”

FACE FOUNDRIÉ was founded in 2019 by Michele Henry after she struggled to find skin care treatments that addressed the changes in her skin caused by motherhood, aging and life’s demands.

Now, this team brings Henry's skin-solutions to the Seattle area.
