Lydia Sarfati's Daily Bridal Guide for Clients

The final two-week countdown to the big day is a stressful period for clients. Worrying about a breakout or a breakdown is slowly dimming their bridal glow. With this guide, your clients' inner Bridezillas will find solace and allow their inner beauty to shine through!

For the full two weeks, it is great to detox and purify to get that inner glow and vibrant energy. To accomplish this, morning and night advise clients to drink a full 8-ounce glass of Lydia’s purifying juice. Blend the following:

  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tsp. of honey

The cucumber and apple will hydrate cells from the inside. The parsley is cleansing and purifying, rich in folic acid; a natural deodorizer on the inside. The honey gives a great boost of natural energy. The vitamin C from lemon juice is a great antioxidant.

Combine with daily exercise for 30 minutes; any exercise to get your energy going. Follow with a high protein, low-carb diet.

Most importantly, your client should eliminate processed sugars and foods, drink decaf coffee, avoid diet sodas, and drink plenty of water. Take a seaweed bath every night. This plan provides great energy and is a purification detox for the liver; try incorporating fresh produce into home-cooked meals to avoid sodium-packed restaurant options that can cause bloating.

Your client should find time to treat herself and her fiancé to time alone at local art or music festivals to keep your minds on what keeps the two of them together through the tough planning stages.

Two-week Guide

Day 14. The stress is starting to truly sink in at this time. Last minute mishaps on the part of the caterer or venue have begun taking their toll on your clients' happy-go-lucky glowing bride M.O. officially making no day better than the present to get a massage. A hot stone massage uses pressure points and variations in temperature relaxing muscles and melting away stress so clients will leave ready to take on the seamstress in the coming days.

Day 13. Make 13 your clients' lucky day and advise her to plan a girl’s night out-with no wedding talk! The bridesmaids and best friends are feeling the stress and trying to keep calm and collected for the bride's sake. A light dinner at a favorite spot where everyone can all catch up on life outside wedding plans will help everyone let loose and remember the simple days before the wedding was the sole topics of girl’s nights!

Day 12. Recommend that your client volunteer her time for the cause of her choice. There is no greater feeling than giving back, except finding the love of your life, but since she has done that already, recommend that she take time to help others that are less fortunate.

Day 11. Tell you client to indulge in an at-home Honey Almond facial with Lydia’s recipe. Mix 1 packet oatmeal, 2 tablespoons pure honey and 2 tablespoons buttermilk in blender, then pour into a bowl. Blend ½ cup almonds for one minute, then add the oatmeal mixture and blend until smooth. Cleanse face and neck, and then apply mask. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse well and moisturize.

Day 10. The bride should schedule a trial spray tan to judge the way the color looks on her skin to avoid attending her nuptials looking similar to a traffic cone like Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars. This will leave enough time for fading before the wedding in the event of a mishap.

Day 9. Tonight, brides should begin eye treatments with Lydia Sarfati’s at-home recipe: Brew black tea for at least 3-5 minutes, then refrigerate and apply cool solution with cotton wool on eyes, leaving on 10-15 minutes. This quick and easy solution will eliminate dark circles and puffiness.

Day 8. The bride should write her vows by this time and if not, she should take today to do so. She should think of all that is great in her life and let the words pour onto paper!

Day 7. She has made it to one week! Indulge with the dark chocolate treat of your choice, keeping portion control in mind. Remind the bride not to starve herself in the weeks leading up to her wedding. She should eat healthy and treat herself on occasion.

Day 6. Recommend that she use your spa's or a local partner's yoga studio and take the time to relax and meditate. Clear the mind while energizing the body. She should feel free to repeat this routine throughout the entire two weeks!

Day 5. Schedule your client for a professional facial today. Block off enough time to consult with the client in order to choose the proper treatment for her skin. Offer a facial that does not include extractions, this is not the time for picking and squeezing the skin; gentle exfoliation and hydration are all she needs now!

Day 4. Get the glow! Your client should go back to the spa for her pre-wedding spray tan with confidence, knowing she have already had a trial run with this tan.

Day 3. Today is mani-pedi day. Help the bride pick a classic, understated color. Allow her dress and bling to make the real statement!

Day 2. The bride should follow up and confirm last-minute details with her photographer, caterer, friends and family to be sure everything is in place for tomorrow. She will enjoy her rehearsal dinner looking relaxed wearing natural makeup and a simple hairstyle; leave the big wow for tomorrow.

It’s her wedding day! Your client is about to walk down the aisle. Today is the day for thankfulness. She will enjoy a beautiful time with great food and great friends!
