i-On Skincare by Dr. Xi Huang is launching two skin care products said to remove excess iron from the skin, coming April 2021.
i-On’s regimen uses a patented new technology, De-Ironizing Inducer (DII), which removes excess iron from the skin to prevent the formation of the free radicals that cause skin aging.
Through a series of mild and safe chemical reactions, DII releases excess iron from ferritin that has been excreted to the skin’s surface and neutralizes it to prevent skin-aging free radicals from ever forming.
The brand's products are dermatologist-approved and clinically proven to reduce lines and wrinkles, increase elasticity, even skin tone, plump skin and hydrate more rapidly.
Huang, founder and president of i-On Skincare said, "I began to develop the De-Ironizing Inducer (DII) technology, which is the foundation of i-On Skincare products, nearly a decade ago to address the safe removal of iron from the skin and prevent free radicals.
DII works to target ferritin, an iron storage protein. Ferritin releases iron into the body for use when needed and then is excreted to the surface of the skin through skin peeling. This ferritin is the root cause of skin aging and photoaging. I used vitamin C to preemptively reduce and release iron from ferritin. Once the iron is released from ferritin, it can continue to exert its harmful effect. To prevent this, I combined vitamin C with a naturally-sourced pearl powder-buffered system to clear the released iron so it cannot cause damage."
