Ellis joins Soothe from Beachbody, where he served as the company’s group vice president of content and commerce. In that role, he supervised product management, growth marketing and e-commerce operations for their digital subscription offering.

Prior to Beachbody, Ellis founded two successful digital e-commerce startups and held executive and senior management positions at leading consumer brands like Yahoo!, Earthlink and Kinko’s.

“[Ellis] is the right person to lead the next phase of Soothe’s growth,” Steve Pogorzelski, Soothe chairman of the board, said. “His leadership style combined with his knowledge of the wellness space and extensive experience in market strategy, product development, and operations, make him the perfect fit for Soothe.”

“I’m really pleased and honored to join Soothe at a pivotal time when people are beginning to realize the importance of integrating wellness programs into their lifestyle, and how having an ongoing wellness regimen that includes massage can contribute to improvements in physical and mental health,” Ellis said. “Soothe makes it incredibly easy for people to incorporate massage into their hectic schedules, and businesses are choosing Soothe to deliver wellness services of the highest quality and value because of the reduced stress and efficiency they see from their employees.”
