Technology has progressed enough that a trip out of the house may not always be as necessary as it once was.

It’s National Wellness Month again! Here are some of the trends you should have your eyes on.

  • Mental Health: Proactive and personalized care is emerging in various forms, including how people approach mental wellness. Combined with innovations in AI, the industry has cooked up algorithms that can pick up on issues before they crop up, potentially preventing a crisis. Educating your clients on tools like these and an overall proactive approach to their wellness can be a valuable addition to their holistic home care routine.
  • Personalized Wellness: Following the trend of personalized wellness is the increasing integration of technology in wellness. AI and wearable devices are being used to collect an individual’s data, and algorithms can generate customized recommendations depending on someone’s wellness goals. In skin care, some devices can analyze photos or collect real-time data from scopes and generate skin care formulations and recommendations for more effective regimens.
  • Wearable Wellness: In today’s fast-paced world, convenience is paramount. If there's a way people can seamlessly incorporate wellness into their everyday life, they will. Smart watches allow people to track health metrics throughout the day, smart mattresses can monitor sleep health and smart skin monitors can track things like pH level and hydration, so users are empowered to make more informed skin decisions.
  • CBD: Commonly used for pain, anxiety and depression, the growing acceptance of CBD has led to its increasing appearance in supplements and skin care products. Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa is featuring a Vital Body CBD Simple Bath Ritual through the month of August to relax muscle tension and reduce inflammation.

These trends in wellness go hand-in-hand with the broader cultural trends we see as we allocate a larger part of the conversation to mental wellness, strive to find what’s best for each of us among market fatigue and become more educated about formerly stigmatized subjects.
