Aesthetic and cosmetic markets are highly competitive. Products and services are provided by several types of medical practices and spas. This quarter, Feed-back.com's research staff conducted telephone surveys with dermatology, medical spa and plastic surgery facilities. Approximately 1,000 facilities were contacted, with roughly similar numbers of each type of practice.
Surveys findings indicate that Botox, dermal fillers, other injectables, and laser hair/skin treatments are the most profitable aesthetic services in medical spas. Among dermatology practices, Botox and chemical peels are the most profitable, followed by dermabrasion/microdermabrasion. Preliminary surveys conducted to date with plastic surgery practices place chemical peels as the most profitable service, followed by laser treatments.
