Ivy Beauty, on behalf of i-ENVY, Kiss New York Professional, Red by Kiss, and Ruby Kisses, partnered with the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) for the return of the Ivy Beauty scholarship program.
This year's program will award four African American students who are currently enrolled in an accredited cosmetology, barbering or hairstyling program that leads to licensure at an accredited school in the U.S. $4,500 each in scholarship funds for the 2024 academic year.
The PBA provides members with valuable resources, support, and connections to help grow careers and the industry. The association works to empower members to do their best work, while supporting and advocating for them along the way.
Recipients for the Ivy Beauty scholarship must meet specific criteria including being at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551. Students must be African American as well as a cosmetology, barber, or hairstyling student enrolled in an accredited program that leads to licensure.

As a company, we find giving back to the African American beauty industry incredibly important, allowing them to further flourish and help them and their families in even a small way afford the investment this higher education and training represents,” said a representative for Ivy Beauty.
Ivy Beauty scholarship applications opened on April 3, 2023 and will close on August 4, 2023. Applications will be reviewed by the PBA until September 15, 2023, and will be awarded to students by a committee appointed by the Chair of the Beauty Professional / NCA section of the Professional Beauty Association by December 15, 2023. Any unused Ivy Beauty Scholarship funds will be awarded to runner up applicants.
