4 Ways to Create an Experience

As professionals in the industry, we all understand how important it is to fine-tune our skills so we can provide the best possible treatments to our clients. However, what actually makes a client rebook with you? Is it the treatment? Is it the results they see? People want results, but they also want an experience! As Maya Angelou once stated, “people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This is so true when it comes to our clients. I have learned my technical skills are important; however, they are only a portion of my business as an esthetician, makeup artist and now spa co-owner.

I always try to go the extra mile in building relationships with my clients. I want each client to feel like he or she booked with the right person and received the right service from me. One of my favorite aspects of this industry is that we have the opportunity to really make our clients feel wonderful, and I believe this goes beyond the treatment or service itself. As a makeup artist and co-owner of a spa in Oklahoma, I understand that every business may be different in the way you can create an experience. I also believe it is possible regardless of the business model, location, etc. I would like to share four ways I have found beneficial in creating experiences for my clients.
