Tokiwa Cosmetics International, an established OEM/ODM partner with more than 70 years of heritage in mechanical technology and cosmetic science, has announced its strategic expansion into the hair care category for the U.S. market. Debuting at MakeUp in Los Angeles (MULA), the company is applying its rigorous standards for texture and technical precision—historically reserved for world-class color cosmetics—to high-performance hair solutions.

The move reflects a broader industry shift toward hybrid beauty formats and cleaner ingredient positioning. Tokiwa’s new hair portfolio includes a Hair Slick Gel designed to hold styles without traditional stiffness and a Powdery Finish Hair Mascara for portable gray coverage, bridging the gap between cosmetic performance and daily hair maintenance. This expansion follows the company's evolution from wooden pencils to advanced mechanical pencil technology, eventually growing into a comprehensive global partner across eye, brow, lip, and face categories.

In addition to the hair launch, Tokiwa continues to advance its core makeup business with a focus on "clean glam" and professional-grade consistency. Key innovations showcased this year include silicone-free highlighters and eyeshadow sticks, as well as a liquid bronzer with a built-in stain for enhanced longevity. The company also introduced an angled-cut liquid eyeliner featuring an integrated brush tip to help brands deliver consistent, high-precision results. By integrating formulation, packaging, and manufacturing, Tokiwa aims to provide scalable solutions that meet the evolving demands of both indie brands and industry leaders.
