Earlier this month, Craft Estética opened their doors in Westbrook, Maine, making it one of the first "salt spas" in the state. Featuring a Himalayan salt room, it allows for up to six people to lounge in a treatment room as salt is blown in, creating a zero-gravity like experience. Halotherapy has been linked to providing benefits for those with respiratory conditions as well as promoting healthy skin.
"We try to approach things from an inside-out point of view. If you healthy on the inside, it comes to the outside." —Kathleen Shaw, owner of Craft Estética
Craft Estética also provides a range of traditional spa treatments and services, such as facials, waxings, mineral makeup services, mud wraps and soaks. Plus, they specialize in maternity treatments, such as targeted brightening facials and expectant leg and foot treatments.
When asked about her approach to treatments, Kathleen Shaw, owner of Craft Estética, said, “We try to approach things from an inside-out point of view. If you healthy on the inside, it comes to the outside.”
