Once called “One of the World’s Top 10 U.S. Spas,” the Vista Clara Ranch Spa Resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico will be transformed from a place of body healing to one for the mind and spirit. The Wisdom Healing Qigong Center is set to open in October 2016.
"People will come from around the world, there is nothing quite like it in North America." — Master Mingtong Gu
The 79-acre resort includes views of the western mountains while being open to large views of the night sky. The Chi Center will be dedicated to the practice and teaching of Wisdom Healing Qigong.
"This will be a unique environment for connection to inner wisdom and healing. People will come from around the world, there is nothing quite like it in North America," said Master Mingtong Gu, founder of the Chi Center in Petaluma, California.
The healing is based on the 19 different Qigong traditions, integrating the East/West, mind/body and science/spiritual teachings for better health and happiness. The intention is to heal ourselves and the world by realizing human potential and conscious evolution. Harmony, self-realization, integration and awakening through sustainable practice are the end goals of the healing.
Workshops will be held in a circular building which replicates traditional ceremonial kivas, meaning set into the earth. The main house includes six fireplaces and the grounds hold two labyrinths, outdoor fireplaces, fountains, a pond with a waterfall and paths for reflection and hiking.
