Amabel de Leon, RN, BSN and CEO is launching her Whole Self Mindful Skincare Collection to meet the demands of the new age of skin care—one born of intention, a holistic approach and an acknowledgement that everyone deserves an effective, luxurious-feeling full-body experience they can trust. Mindful skin care as a movement requires moving past the act of putting on products, and instead focuses on intentionality and presence of the moment—why these products? What do they smell like? Where do they take you? —for a complete, sensorial experience.  In using skin care as a vehicle for a piece of a more comprehensive approach to wellness, consumers can purchase with more trust and fulfillment while keeping their overall wellness as a focal point in their lifestyle choices.

What Makes the Whole Self

Leon developed this luxurious, holistic collection of products with her patients and peers in mind. Being a nurse-turned-entrepreneur behind several healthcare and hospice agencies, Leon sought to create products her patients and peers could use while undergoing care and beyond.

This collection uses natural, pineapple-based ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier, boost hydration and promote skin’s natural glow.

“The Whole Self Collection fulfills a long-time missing market gap where each product offers the ultimate quality, caring and calming experience for caregivers to provide and all patients or clients to be pampered,” says Leon. “They deserve it!”

A Holistic Approach + Science-backed Results

More healthcare professionals are debuting their own product lines, combining their medical expertise to paint skin care against a backdrop of overall wellness, complete with suggestions that extend past traditional topical solutions.

As more consumers become aware of potentially damaging ingredients, they’re looking for trusted sources of advice and suggestions on their skin care journeys, driving the rise of healthcare professional-born and endorsed products.
