UPDATE: Informational Q&A With California State Board at Face & Body

Dear California Estheticians,

Thank you for making your voices heard in regard to the informational Q&A session we are hosting during the Advanced Education Conference Program on Saturday, August 23, at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

When we learned about the various issues that are taking place in California, including wording changes on regulations and the evolution of the master esthetics license, we immediately saw the need to invite the board to the Face & Body event to answer questions posed by concerned and active estheticians. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to bring both groups together.

Let me assure you that it was NEVER our intent to keep you from an event that is critical to your license because it is a paid-for opportunity. In fact, we saw it as providing an additional opportunity to attendees of our Advanced Education Conference Program to speak to the board. This session does not replace a state board meeting; state board meetings are free and open to the public. Click here to find out when the next meeting is and make it a point to attend and make your voices heard!

I applaud the fact that so many of you have reached out to us letting us know that you would come to the meeting if only it were more affordable. Well, now it is! We heard your concerns and are making this informational session with the California state board available with a $20 expo registration. Register now with promo code "VIP" to receive the discounted pricing.

Due to the limited amount of space, those registered for the Advanced Education Conference Program will have a guaranteed seat for the session. All others who want to attend will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis.

For those who are unable to attend, we will be recording the session and posting it on SkinInc.com within days of the session. This video will be available for free.

I am so encouraged by the fire and passion you have shown! Be sure to make it a point to bring that fire and passion to California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology meetings and make your voices heard!

Thank you,

Cathy Christensen
