[LAS VEGAS] Jan. 15, 2026—Dr. Sherrie Tennessee, spa, wellness and beauty educator with over 15 years of industry experience, announces the release of The Black Woman’s Guide to Wellbeing Coloring Book, now available in paperback on Amazon.
This release is emblematic of two major threads we've seen in the broader wellness dialogue: the rise of self-care by way of reflection and mental health, as well as heightened awareness surrounding health and wellness in specific marginalized communities.
Created as an accessible and culturally affirming wellness tool, the coloring book blends guided journaling, mindfulness practices and creative expression to support emotional balance, stress reduction and self-reflection.
“Too often, wellness is framed as something that must happen in designated spaces and at a high cost,” says Tennessee. “This book is a reminder that healing can be found in small, meaningful moments—breathing deeply, coloring with intention, reflecting quietly or reconnecting with joy.”
The book features original black-and-white illustrations centering Black women in rest, movement, community and reflection, alongside journal prompts focused on gratitude, boundaries, self-acceptance, mindfulness and emotional wellbeing.
Tennessee holds a PhD in wellness studies and has worked extensively across spa education, wellness technology, hospitality training and guest experience design.
The Black Woman’s Guide to Wellbeing Coloring Book is intended for individual use, wellness programming, community gatherings, and creative self-care practices.
The book is available for purchase on Amazon.
