Biotune Wellness has soft launched its SoniQ Mat Leasing Program, a plug-and-play vibroacoustic solution designed to bring immersive, science-backed sound frequency therapy anywhere, including hikes, spas and resorts. The program is available at three wellness destinations thus far for treatment rooms and group experiences. Full rollout of the device begins May 1.
The SoniQ is a wireless, battery-operated sound therapy device that creates a portable calming atmosphere by emitting vibroacoustics that clients lay on, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being, according to an April 3 press release. The mat is currently available at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Peak Party in partnership with Roam and Reset, as well as Dripology.
The SoniQ Mat was born in clinical settings, originally developed to support individuals facing PTSD and mental health challenges, says Isaac Sabu, founder of Biotune Wellness. Clinical programs demonstrated 80% to 90% effectiveness in reducing symptoms such as anxiety and emotional dysregulation.
The device emits soothing vibrations for 60 to 90 minutes throughout a patient’s massages, facials or other treatments through a Biotune speaker, engineered by award-winning musicians and neuroscientists for immersive delivery.
“This combination provides vagal nerve stimulation and brainwave entrainment, allowing clients to enter parasympathetic calm and helping skilled therapists achieve deeper, more effective results,” Sabu says.
By stimulating the vagal nerve, the SoniQ shifts the body into a calm nervous system validated through heart rate variability. Its neuro-entrainment guides brainwaves into restorative states, while the somatic vibration gently clears physical and emotional tension.
This solution also allows therapists time to reset during treatments while creating revenue add-ons for their spa and resort as a wellness upgrade with sound experiences–an immersive, full-body frequency treatment.
“In a world of increasing stress, overstimulation and generic wellness add-ons, spa guests are seeking something real,” Sabu says. “With its roots in trauma-informed healing and a design guided by both science and sound artistry, Biotune transforms a standard spa session into something meaningful, modern and deeply effective.”
While SoniQ can be implemented into spa and wellness offerings for an additional relaxation method to the entire experience, the device can also be transported anywhere, including sunset meditations outside, poolside group sessions, indoor yoga studio and hikes in nature, per the release.
The mat can be placed over any massage table and includes a guide to facilitate sessions, as well as an onboarding support to learn how to integrate the therapy. The device also includes wireless headphones for mobile sessions to accommodate for immersive settings in resort sessions.
“These aren’t just sounds — they’re frequencies you feel,” Sabu says. “Clients describe the experience as a complete recalibration, one that helps them relax faster, stay present longer and often walk away with a sense of renewal they hadn’t felt in years.”
