What is your favorite memory of your time in the spa industry?
As many in the industry can relate, client success stories are what feed my soul. There is one that stands out above the others: I was working with a teenager who was struggling with acneic skin, and after working on her for several months she sent me a text to tell me that she could finally look in the mirror and not cry. There is nothing better than giving someone their confidence back!
What’s the first thing you do after a long day at work?
It’s evolved over the years. Prior to having kids, I loved Epsom bath salts after being in the treatment room all day. It was the perfect way to decompress and give my body some love, too.
Now that my main focus is building and supporting Sorella Apothecary, I love to end a long day with good food, company and gratitude.

What’s your greatest achievement?
My greatest work accomplishment was when industry expert Lori Crete asked me to speak at her annual event for spa professionals. At that time, Sorella Apothecary was fairly new; Lori is a seasoned professional who has many connections, but she chose me. I felt incredibly honored.
What advice do you have for industry newcomers?
Take the time to educate yourself and don’t hesitate to ask questions every step along the way. When you are passionate about what you do and you put in the work, the confidence will come naturally.
When I first started, I was scared to recommend products to my clients because I didn’t want to be too pushy. I needed to be reminded that clients came to see me for my expertise and recommendations.
What’s your favorite wellness treatment to receive?
I truly love getting facials everywhere I go! Each facial is a unique experience; I enjoy speaking with the esthetician and picking their brain about their personal favorite tips, tricks, ingredients and modalities. Since I oversee our product development for the company, I’m always inspired after receiving a facial.
What is on your bucket list?
While the list is long, I plan to accomplish a few things in the coming years: I want to travel to Greece, run a half marathon, win the Women’s Golf Club Championship and beat my husband at pickleball.
What’s on the horizon for Sorella Apothecary?
There are a lot of things in motion that we are really excited about. We are expanding our home office, as our team has grown a lot over the last year to support our partners. Product development is always top of mind, and we plan to expand our backbar exclusive offerings, including a new body treatment that resorts are going to love!
