Lance Minnis was a financial adviser for 21 years before deciding to go to school for massage therapy in 2020. He obtained his massage therapy license and opened Ashtree Therapeutics.

Concerned that social distance guidelines might never return to normal, he came up with the idea for the portable massage studio.

The mobile massage therapy bus is named Stella Marie, in tribute to Minnis’ grandmother and mother.
