The International SPA Association (ISPA) announced its board of directors for 2012, including two new officers and three new members. The new officers are chairman Ella Stimpson, executive director of spas and salons at Wynn and Encore in Las Vegas; and vice chairman Michael Tompkins, president and general manager, Miraval Resort & Spa in Tucson, AZ. The new board members include Sharilyn Abbajay, vice president, global spa and retail operations, Marriott International; Sean Handler, Michigan director of spas, Solace Spa at Boyne Resorts; and Frank Pitsikalis, founder and CEO of ResortSuite.
