The 2023 Global Wellness Summit (GWS) will take place from November 6-9, 2023 at the Barahat Msheireb in Qatar, the largest open-air plaza in the Middle East, located at the heart of Msheireb Downtown Doha. The Barahat takes its name from the word "Al Baraha," which means in Arabic an open space for socialization and networking. The theme of this year's GWS is "A Time of Transformation."
GWS will take over this 7,000-square-meter plaza as the hub for the four-day Summit, which will be the 17th annual event. There will be breakout sessions in nearby hotels and meals in select restaurants surrounding the plaza. With a large, retractable roof, innovative cooling systems, and state-of-the-art audio/visual systems, the Barahat Msheireb was a buzzing hub for watching the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar.

At each annual gathering, GWS explores business through a wellness lens, identifying the most important global trends and investment opportunities. According to GWS, the radically changing wellness economy is experiencing significant increases in consumer demand since the pandemic—leading to new intersections in business and investment, including wellness, beauty and mental health.
While the focus of the event is helping Delegates make business connections, there will also be time to explore the culture, and customs of Qatar and enjoy the Summit’s signature social and wellness events.
GWS also recently announced optional pre- and post-summit trips to Zulal Wellness Resort organized by Chiva-Som. The Summit is offering special packages to Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som for a wellness experience blending Traditional Arabic Islamic Medicine (TAIM) with holistic well-being therapies in a serene coastal setting.
Delegates can choose from three-, five- or seven-night packages offered both before and after the 2023 Global Wellness Summit on November 8 and 9, 2023.
