Face & Body Spa Conference & Expo Northern California 2014 is looking fresh! To kick off your Face & Body experience, you will be the first to experience the all-new Massage Pavilion, taking place on the show floor. Also, with more than 100 brands and exciting new companies joining the Expo, it is sure to inspire new growth for your skin care facility. Along with companies at the Expo, Face & Body features a full schedule of FREE supplier classes—more than 60 sessions to choose from that will surely bring new ideas and give you a chance to meet with suppliers in an intimate setting. And for the second year, the Advanced Education Conference Program will be featuring leading industry speakers in a variety of condition-based sessions and demos that focus on Hyperpigmentation/Anti-aging, Acne/Rosacea and The Body, along with the Business Summit.
The Expo
The year 2014 brings expansion to the Expo floor! The packed floor means more companies, more networking and more products! We are excited to welcome a number of new companies to the show floor. Use this to your advantage, and be sure to keep all the business cards you gather on the show floor. Set up times to visit with old suppliers and friends while leaving time to meet with new faces. Mingle with people that love skin care just as much as you do. This is a great setting for meeting new estheticians and spa owners that can become members of your ever-growing support system.
Massage Pavilion
New this year, Face & Body will feature a Massage Pavilion on the show floor, including a variety of suppliers who sell products and services for massage therapists and spas. According to Sandy Chapin, group show director of Face & Body Northern California, “It makes sense to expand the show floor and feature a targeted product category that typically generates a high percent of service revenue for spa owners. It is our goal to add more value for spa owners and directors who attend the show.” Additionally, FREE education and demonstrations will be provided in the Massage Pavilion, sponsored by Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
AmSpa Reception
Don’t miss the exciting new networking reception held after the show on Sunday evening by the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa). This reception is held for skin care professionals currently involved in or interested in breaking into the medical spa arena. There, you will have a chance to mingle with likeminded medical professionals, as well as talk to medical spa vendors in a casual environment, allowing you to unwind and make connections at the same time.
After The Show
After all is said and done, be sure to take a minute to really think about the education and connections you received at the show. Answer our survey while the show is still fresh in your mind so we, as planners, can learn from your point of view and craft the show to be the best resource possible. Organize ideas and thoughts you had during Face & Body so you can implement them into your business. Follow up with people you met at the show—it is easy to forget a great deal of networking if you don’t do something with it! Lastly, share the love! Tell your colleagues about the experience. Fill them in on new ideas you want to implement and invite them to come next year. Get your money’s worth when attending Face & Body. Use all the opportunities provided by the show to grow your business.
