Can Drinking Water Lead to Hydrated Skin?

drinking water lead hydrate skin

It has been said that drinking water can help to achieve glowing skin, but that's not entirely the case. Esthetician Renée Rouleau spoke with Well and Good about this misconception.

There is a lot that goes into the idea that water creates glowy skin. Rouleau explained that drinking water won't make its way to the epidermis, so there is no direct effect.

However, water helps the inside of the body thrive, and when that thrives it can have an affect on the skin. For example, water will help the lymphatic system help with skin puffiness.

So, while water won't give clients a magically smooth complexion, it's important to stay hydrated.
