When looking for a sunscreen, mineral filters like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide can cause a chalky look or white cast.
Sunscreens that have a tint can help avoid the white cast; it may be harder to find an exact match for those with darker tones. Another good option would be a clear or gel-like sunscreen or even a sheer mist, as those tend to go on invisibly or with less of a chalky look.
