Guinot, a professional brand with more than 50 years of heritage, introduced its Serum Hydrazone. The serum continues the brand’s progressive approach to skincare and its alternative to injectables.

Serum Hydrazone has Hydrasens, which helps the cells communication through channels for the hydration to go to the area it needs to hydrate.  It targets intracellular communication to help with hydration and it strengthens the microscopic tunnels to help distribute hydration more evenly. It allows each area of the face to get the hydration it needs. The Hydrocyte Liposomes complex, which was created in the Guinot factory in Paris, helps to retain moisture short and long term while reducing trans-epidermal water loss. It is meant to make the hydration last, and the Hydrafilm makes it appropriate for sensitive skin types.

The serum can be used at home after cleansing and toning the skin, then apply a moisturizer cream over it. During a facial, once the mask is removed and toner is applied, the serum can be applied; then apply hydration and sunscreen. It is lightweight and absorbs well into the skin. Serum Hydrazone can be used with Guinot’s traditional European facial, the Hydraderm 1000 with the galvanic as the finishing product. It can also be used after the Hydra Summum facial, Detoxygene treatment and peeling treatment.

Users will get instant hydration from the serum and see smoother, more radiant skin. Dorothea Fenech, Training and Education Director for Guinot US, said she likes to tell estheticians that it will turn their client’s skin from a raisin to a grape. Fenech said after one application, hydration in skin increases by 45%.

“It’s really nice because it is light enough to use in the summer. The texture is lighter to use in any time of the year,” French said.
