Earlier this month, Pantone announced the 2024 Color of the Year to be Peach Fuzz—a light, fruity tone that conjures peace and serenity. At Lionel Hitchen, a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of natural flavors and flavor ingredients, the company's team of experts announced its excitement to explore the potential impact of this velvety gentle peach tone on the food and beverage industry.

"The challenge with peach as a lead flavor is that its profile is weaker compared to other fruits," explains Chris Hunt, category sales manager at Lionel Hitchen. "That's why it is commonly paired with more potent tropical fruits, as their sulfur compounds can boost the power of peach and reduce its weak characteristics."

Lovvie Bhabutta, sales manager at Lionel Hitchen, added, "In Germany and beyond, the classic combination of peach and passionfruit, known as Pfirsich-Maracuja, is highly popular. Peach Iced Tea is also a beloved choice, as long as the flavor is sweet, fresh, and fleshy. Furthermore, peach pairs exceptionally well with almond in bakery products, providing a delightful and harmonious taste experience.”

"Lionel Hitchen's peach flavor embodies the essence of Pantone's Color of 2024, Peach Fuzz. With its sweet, fleshy notes, it delicately mirrors the lusciousness of the fruit, while seamlessly embracing the textured subtleties of the skin, offering a sensory journey that encapsulates the entire peach experience,“ shared Geraldine Coombes, technical sales manager at Lionel Hitchen.
