Lindsey Sikora Subrinsky is rewriting the rules of wellness. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner, the founder and medical director of Shot Bar Medspa in Chicago and the forthcoming author of The Girl Who Ate in the Dark, a bold and deeply personal book about losing 130 pounds, dismantling food addiction and reclaiming a life once buried under shame.

Lindsey is not another polished influencer selling shortcuts. She is the anti-influencer, telling anyone who will listen to vet the people they follow. Who are they? What is their background? Do they even have skin in the game? She does. Life is messy, and so is wellness, and Lindsey is ready to disrupt the entire space with the truth that lasting change doesn’t come from a filter; it comes from raw honesty, evidence-based science and relentless self-work.

Her professional backbone is as fierce as her personal journey. She holds three certificates from Harvard Medical School in nutritional coaching, lifestyle coaching and wellness coaching, and she is certified in functional nutrition through MindBodyGreen. She is also certified in peptides and biohacking and is currently in pursuit of a triple doctorate in functional medicine, natural medicine and functional nutrition. Soon, Shot Bar Medspa will expand into hormone replacement therapy, rounding out a practice that fuses advanced aesthetics with functional health.

What makes Lindsey unforgettable is not just her education; it is her story. She grew up battling food noise, weight stigma and the torment of yo-yo dieting. She knows what it’s like to feel invisible, unworthy and trapped by your own body. Her turning point came when she stopped searching for easy answers and started digging into the real roots of hunger, trauma and healing. That breakthrough transformed not only her body but her purpose.

Today, Lindsey is building more than a medspa; she is building a movement. Shot Bar is where edgy, badass aesthetics meet functional health, where patients walk out glowing on the outside and stronger on the inside. As Lindsey herself puts it: “I’m not here to play it safe, I’m here to rewrite the rules. Unapologetically disrupting the wellness space with truth, science and grit, I’m not afraid to say what others won’t, because wellness deserves honesty."
