Face Reality, a leading professional acne brand, launched its Omni Clear Mist. The professional-grade, multi-use hypochlorous acid mist is designed to purify and support balanced skin. This product expands the offerings of Face Reality and fits into its mission to provide holistic solutions for acne clearing.
Stephanie Criscione, Senior Director of Education & Acne Clinic for Face Reality, said Face Reality has been able to branch out and integrate into other solutions with the ability to be used with devices, technologies and peels. Face Reality also works with medical professionals as adjunct care support with topical medications, oral medications or laser devices for acne clearing. She said the brand empowers estheticians and providers to use their acne clearing methods, which enables them to provide results for their clients.
The Omni Clear Mist was developed to provide solutions to control the factors that contribute to breakouts. It gives people cleansing and purifying options on the go. It fits into Face Reality’s backbar solutions and Portfolio as an ending treatment for people who have bacterial inflamed acne, or post extraction to kill any excess bacteria on the skin after treatment. It is also versatile, can be used on the go and can last up to two years.
“We really wanted to be able to offer something that was very multifunctional, easy to use and that was stable,” she said, explaining that stability in hypochlorous acid is important because it has to be stabilized at a certain pH so there aren’t heat variations, which can make it inactive.
Criscione said the response for Omni Clear Mist has been positive. The product has been used at the Face Reality Acne Clinic on clients and case study participants ahead of its launch. People have seen the reduction of redness, post-gym. Criscione also said that people are putting it in the refrigerator and spraying it on their face as a cooling, cleansing mist after being in hot climates.
Face Reality relaunched its Acne Expert Certification Training to reflect a modern, science-backed approach to acne education that is built to provide real results. The training, which was relaunched in June, is more interactive and streamlined and has been updated based on new innovations and new insights from the last few years. Criscione said that while the previous method showed clear results, the training was updated because the brand wanted clinical validation.

Criscione said that having to update and relaunch the training means that it has been impactful and people want to learn from Face Reality. She said the brand continues to lead and guide through education. She said the gap between esthetics industry and medical industry is starting to close and there is a hybrid opportunity to integrate skincare solutions and what is being done in medical spas and dermatological practices.
