NCEA Certification: Prep Class and Testing

NCEA; National Coalition of Estheticians, cosmeticians, manufacturers association is helping estheticians and cosmeticians raise standards with national credentialing and continuing education accreditation. The NCEA Certified credential was launched in 2007. Every state that has passed the “Master Esthetician License” legislation and is using the NCEA Certified credential for “grandfathering” (estheticians already practicing in the state) and “endorsement” (estheticians moving into the state who want the Master Esthetician license.) It represents the highest skin care credential available in the United States and adherence to the code of ethics of the profession. Certification and testing is key to increasing Esthetician Standards and Educating Legislators/State Regulatory Boards on the need for higher licensing requirements.
