Polyglutamic acid (PA) has been named a trend for 2021 and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
PA is a lot like hyaluronic acid in that it can retain moisture for the skin, but what else can it do? According to Healthline, a lot. Not only can it hydrate the skin but it can also help reduce the signs of aging such as wrinkles and skin sagging.
According to a 2016 study, it can even be used to promote wound healing in vivo when treated with PA. The study showed the wounds significantly decreased compared to those not given PA.
Due to its water-solubility and edibility, this ingredient can be found in serums, creams, gels, lotions and even supplements.
