The 90-minute accredited training course is designed to provide basic information on skin types, as categorized by color, racial and ethnic factors, and to enable the understanding of their different biological properties. Different skins have different needs, and they respond to topical agents in different ways. The knowledge about skin-of-color differences should be incorporated into the development of skin care, personal care and pharmaceutical products, and into their testing and marketing.
