Pre-owned esthetic laser company Sentient Lasers has announced the launch of its proprietary Blue Dot Certification, an inspection and refurbishing program.

“Our goal is to ensure that our customers never feel alone during the lifecycle of their laser and understand that ‘Buying Blue’ is the safest, highest-quality, most reliable way to buy esthetic lasers for their practice,” said Chris Cella, CEO of Sentient Lasers.

Started in 2009, Sentient Laser provides esthetic device solutions for laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, laser vascular treatments and tattoo removal. The Blue Dot Certification will comprise of a 20-point inspection and refurbishing process, in order to guarantee the safety and longevity of the device.

“Buying new lasers comes with high monthly payments or a very large one-time expense, and buying a used laser can be unreliable and leave customers without any support or service options." --Chris Cella, CEO of Sentient Lasers

Esthetic lasers are a costly capital investment,” said Cella. “Buying new lasers comes with high monthly payments or a very large one-time expense, and buying a used laser can be unreliable and leave customers without any support or service options."

Given how crucial it is for all pre-owned lasers to perform to the same standards as new systems, Cella said the company saw a need to create a repair and refurbishment standard for the entire aesthetic laser industry. Their Blue Dot Certification ensures that dermatologists, physicians and other industry service providers can depend on the safety of their lasers.
