In the article “What’s New in Laser Technology” from the July 2008 issue of Skin Inc. magazine, author Deborah S. Sarnoff, MD, mentions a variety of new laser equipment modalities. Following is a list of the specific equipment Sarnoff references in the article.

In the “Laser hair reduction” section, Sarnoff mentions a system that combines both an alexandrite 755 nm wavelength with a Nd:YAG 1064 nm wavelength. This system is the Elite by Cynosure.

In the same section, she mentions an intense pulsed light (IPL) to selectively target unwanted hair. This system is the Silk’n by Home Skinovations.

In the “Laser lipolysis” section, Sarnoff mentions a system that melts unwanted fat. This system is the Smartlipo by Cynosure.
