Encouraging female entrepreneurs across the industry, Dermalogica founder Jane Wurwand has been named a 'Woman Business Owner of the Year' by the L.A. chapter for the National Assocation of Women Business Owners.
Jane Wurwand, a visionary and skin therapist who founded the Dermalogica brand and The International Dermal Institute more than two decades ago, has been named “Woman Business Owner of the Year” by the Los Angeles chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
Wurwand and six other entrepreneurs recently were honored at the 23rd Annual NAWBO Leadership and Legacy Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The tribute recognizes women leaders who’ve established a legacy of entrepreneurial excellence and helped other women achieve success in business. Six other women entrepreneurs also were recognized for their achievements in motivation, philanthropy, volunteerism and leadership. Each year, the gala event attracts more than 900 women business owners, community leaders, media, dignitaries and celebrities.
The Woman Business Owner of the Year Award recognizes an exemplary woman entrepreneur who demonstrates her leadership skills by example, is committed to entrepreneurial excellence and has made a significant impact in the business community. Wurwand is being honored for her fostering entrepreneurialism in an industry that’s comprised of 98% women—professional skin therapy.
