For the past four years, Agha has served as the owner of Beneficial Skinworks—an all-natural day spa where she provides services at her clients’ convenience; she doesn’t have scheduled hours. She also conducts home visits for ill clients and works with First Fridays, a program organized by Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, that offers complimentary beauty services to cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers. Agha donates time and products to the cause, insisting, “It gives back a lot more to me than I give to it.”
Agha currently teaches a QuickBooks accounting software class at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and is heading up efforts to bring the first distance learning class to the cosmetology department. She also is a regular contributor to several local publications on the topics of health and skin care.
Although Agha was raised in the profession, she continues to take strides to remain at the top of her game. As a strong advocate of continuing education, she encourages all skin care professionals to attend trade shows, read trade publications and stay on top of all the trends within the industry. With a lifetime in the beauty business, Agha never has stopped learning and growing … and it doesn’t appear that she will anytime soon.
