Work is an inevitable part of life, but being at work does not mean sacrificing self-care. Well-being and self-care can easily be weaved into the work day with these five steps.

1. Add Some Green

Adding plants into your work environment has been shown to improve attention capacity in a work environment. The Journal of Environmental Psychology conducted a study that showed how having indoor plants can prevent fatigue during demanding work time.

2. Use Essential Oils

Essential oils have numerous benefits to the skin and body. They have been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, which can then boost your well-being in the workplace.

3. Enjoy the Outdoors

Just because you're working indoors doesn't mean you have to be stuck indoors. On your break time, go outside and take a walk. Sun exposure has been shown to increase serotonin levels as well as provide the body with vitamin D.

4. Write it Down

Writing down your plan or even the top three goals you would like to accomplish can help to alleviate stress, and keep the brain focused and more productive. Writing down your goals will also increase the odds of achieving those goals.

5. Stop Saying Should

Don't stress yourself out more by thinking of all of the things you should be doing, and definitely don't think of the ways you should be practicing well-being. This will only add more stress that you don't need onto your plate.
